Transferring to Another Unit
A Unit member may withdraw her membership from one Unit to another providing her current dues are fully paid. Upon withdrawal, however, she shall be prohibited from joining any other Unit as a new member during the remainder of the current year for which said dues are paid. However, in the event a member wishes to change her membership from one Unit to another during the current year, she may do so.

A member in good standing in a Unit wishing to transfer to another Unit may hold active membership in another Unit provided she is acceptable in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution and Bylaws of the Unit to which she is transferring.

A transferred member shall be credited to the Unit which secures the membership dues until December 31st of the dues year. After January 31st, the member must pay her membership dues to the new Unit.

When a member transfers from one Unit to another, the Unit to which dues were paid retains credit for the membership for that year. However, the transferring member is entitled to all the rights and benefits of membership in the Unit to which she transfers (and is accepted), including that of voting in the Unit (Opinion of Counsel General, March 24, 1965).
