Reports:
President- Diana Long informed us that Koni set up June 26th in the calendar for our Laua.  She has also already bought decorations. We discussed the menu options. We decided on barbecued short ribs.

1st Vice- Diana informed us that we currently have 112 paid members. Our goal was 108 and we are currently at 103%.

2nd Vice- Marilyn reminded us that May 9-15 is Poppy Week. We will be getting together on May 24th at  to count the money. Marilyn left a message on KPIG reminding others of Memorial Day and to remember our veterans. She also e-mailed Calcagno.

Girl’s State- The girl from North Salinas can’t go so the first alternate will be taking her place. Noni made a motion to pay for her physical, which is required for all girls. Marilyn seconded.

New/Unfinished Business:

Jennie told us that the Storage unit will be expiring on June 1st. Liz looked at the prices of storage sheds and found one through Sears for $300. Liz also talked to Gene about laying a base for a shed and he said it would probably cost around $700. Diana offered a shed at her house that we could use for free. Marilyn recommended that we use the shed at Dian’s for a year or so and then look into a shed on site. We also plan on looking into fundraising for a shed.

May 13th is the day for preparing brownies and sandwiches for the Fishing Derby. They both need to be done and delivered by 4pm.

Diana thanked Gail Scarpa for her donation of throws and Marilyn for her donation of rice bags for Livermore.

Diana presented us with an award for second place overall citizenship and naturalization program.

May 28th is our dinner and we will be having teriyaki steak and fried rice.

May 30th is our breakfast and we will be having Omelets.

The next meeting will be held in the Lower Hall on Thursday, June 3rd at 7:00 p.m. Meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
